April 06, 2022. After the successful completion of programming, development and presentation of their projects, the participants were awarded with a certificate of completion.

   

Within the framework of the “IDEA Generation Project: Inclusive Digital Empowerment and Awareness for Tajik Next Generation”, funded by the European Union together with Good Neighbors Tajikistan, teachers of information technology of the State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini, Kulyab State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaki and State University named after Nosir Khusrav of the city of Bokhtar, received training on the Scratсh and Phyton programming languages.

March 30th, 2022. Good Neighbors Tajikistan presented a new project "ZERO Waste - Clean Schools", funded by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, in Kulob city.

⠀   

The overall goal of the project is to establish replicable, functioning school-based Waste Management systems which enable students, educators and parents to reduce the volume and environmental impact of waste at school.⠀

The 12-month project aims at sensitizing students about the environment, climate change and waste management through hands-on and thought-provoking activities. The framework of the project will allow to establish “Green Teams” that include parents, schoolchildren and teachers. It supports schoolchildren and establishes “Green Teams”, and takes actions for raising members’ awareness, enhancing their knowledge on environmental and waste management and change their behavior towards Solid Waste Management.⠀

On March 12, 2022, the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan (SCO), together with the Government of Tajikistan, held an action on protection of the environment as part of a response to global problems of climate change. The event is one of the actions within the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Switzerland.

The event was attended by more than 150 volunteers representing the SCO in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the mayor's office of Dushanbe, the Committee for Environmental Protection of Tajikistan, Good Neighbors Tajikistan, implementing partners and AKAH organizers.

Good Neighbors Tajikistan has signed an agreement with Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan on mutual cooperation for “ZERO waste – Clean schools” project within the framework of Small Projects Credit.

We believe that, it is important to bring Solid Waste Management to the attention of future generations, thus, in the context of this project GNT is intending to implement a school based Solid Waste Management project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Good Neighbors Tajikistan is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan. This inspires us to work harder to improve the quality of healthcare in Tajikistan.

The second stage of the project is started!

Within the framework of the project funded by the European Union and implemented by the “Good Neighbors” Tajikistan, together with the NGO "ICT Center", began the second stage of the project. The teachers of Pedagogical University are named after Sadriddin Aini in Dushanbe, the Kulyab State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaki and the Bokhtar State University named after Nosir Khusrav have taken an active part in the training process to improve of the professional development and expansion of their skills on Early Coding Education. Also, within the framework of the project, in cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Studies of Teachers and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, training modules will be approved for further integration in the education process.⠀

December 13, 2021, the training " IDEA Generation Project: Inclusive Digital Empowerment and Awareness for Tajik Next Generation" was launched within the framework of the project implemented by "Good Neighbors Tajikistan" and funded by the European Union.⠀

This programming training was prepared for teachers of higher educational institutions, including Kulyab State University named after A. Rudaki, The Bokhtar State University named after N. Khusrav and Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Aini.⠀

During the course teachers will acquire skills and abilities to work with “Python” and “Scrаtch” programs.
