Global Handwashing Day.
On October 17, 2024, the “Global Handwashing Day” was celebrated at the secondary schools of Pochei Poyon and Ruvoz villages of the Boqi Rahimzoda community of Rasht district. Employees of the Good Neighbors Tajikistan organization, from Rasht Community Development Project, explained to the participants the history and importance of celebrating this day. The purpose of holding this event is to increase the awareness and knowledge of the participants about hand hygiene in the prevention of diseases. The “Global Handwashing Day” program consisted of lectures, poetry readings, instructive scenes and a competition for the best hand hygiene painting. At the end of the program, 90 sponsored children were presented with gifts such as hygiene materials, and the winners of the painting competition were awarded sports accessories.
